Since its creation in 1995, the Renoir Quartet has benefited from the advice of great masters such as Günter Pichler, Henry Meyer, Walter Levin, Rainer Schmidt, Thomas Kakuska, within the ProQuartet association. In 2000, he won first prize in the FNAPEC competition in Paris, third prize in the Florence International Competition "Vittorio Gui" and fifth prize in the London International Competition. In 2003, the Renoir Quartet was awarded the Ministry of Culture Prize at the Bordeaux International Competition, as well as the "Coup de Coeur" from Mécénat Musical Société Générale.
The Renoir Quartet has been invited to perform in France - Salle Pleyel, Salle Cortot, Musée d'Orsay, Opéra de Lyon, Filature de Mulhouse, Festival international de Besançon, Rencontres musicales de Fontainebleau... - as well as abroad: Asia, Quebec, Israel, England, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic, New Caledonia... His chamber music partners include renowned performers such as Alain Meunier, Paul Katz, Hélène Couvert, Cédric Tiberghien, Ferenc Vizi, Jonathan Gilad, Cédric Pescia, Nicolas Bône, Christophe Gaugué...

A regular partner of Radio France, the Renoir Quartet has taken part in the "Alla Breve" recording series since 2002, and participated in the 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 Présences festival. However, its attachment to the broad repertoire for string quartet does not prevent it from investing itself in the creation of contemporary works and from performing alongside jazz musicians such as double bassists Renaud Garcia-Fons and François Moutin, pianist Antoine Hervé... as well as world music artists.
In 2001, the magazine Classica devoted a disc to it: Joseph Haydn's Quintes and Felix Mendelssohn's Quartet No. 1, Op. 44. Then, supported by the Action française d'aide artistique (AFAA), the Renoir Quartet recorded the same year a disc in the "Déclic" series: the Quartet in F major opus 18 n°1 by L. V. Beethoven, Ainsi la nuit by Henri Dutilleux and Langsamer Satz M.78 by Anton Webern. A Schumann CD for Zig-Zag Territoires was released in June 2006.
